The Content Creator will work directly with and report to the Content Coordinator to execute content strategies across digital platforms. This role is responsible for producing high-quality creative content based on the Content Coordinator's direction, ensuring timely delivery and posting of all materials to maintain fern.elise's and their clients' brand voices and digital presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Content Production: Create engaging written, visual, and multimedia content based on concepts and strategies developed by the Content Coordinator

• Content Calendar Execution: Ensure all content is produced and posted according to established timelines and schedules

• Platform Management: Format and optimize content for various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, blog, and email newsletters

• Visual Asset Creation: Design graphics, edit photos, and produce short-form videos that align with brand guidelines

• Copy Development: Write compelling captions, blog posts, email content, and promotional copy as directed

• Community Management Support: Assist with responding to comments and messages when needed

• Performance Monitoring: Track basic content metrics and report insights to the Content Coordinator

• Brand Consistency: Maintain brand voice, aesthetics, and quality standards across all created content

• Event Content Support: Document events and create pre/post event promotional content

A creative, detail-oriented content specialist who has a passion for digital storytelling and willingness to adapt to an ever-changing social media landscape. A visual thinker who is capable of translating concepts into compelling content and meeting tight deadlines.

• Exceptionally creative with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and brand consistency.

• Proficient in graphic design, photo/video editing, and digital content creation (portfolio required).

• Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, platform updates, or last-minute content needs.

• Forward-thinking with awareness of emerging content trends and best practices.

• An excellent communicator with strong writing skills – you can craft engaging captions, emails, and blog posts that resonate with the target audience.

• Naturally collaborative and receptive to feedback, which makes you an ideal partner for the Content Coordinator.

• Working knowledge of social media platforms and content optimization techniques.

• Understanding of Jamaican cultural context and audience preferences.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with social media management tools

• Basic photography and videography skills

• Knowledge of current digital content trends

• Experience with current social media platforms such as Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest/Tiktok/YouTube

• A college degree is a plus, but not necessary

 

REQUIREMENTS

Looking for a part-time team members working 70% remotely, and 30% in-person.

 

Location: This position is open to applicants within Kingston/ St. Andrew. Applicants must be able to speak, read, and write English. The ideal candidate would be local to our studio in Kingston and willing to travel to capture content for social media upon request.
